Since the invention of mobile phones availability of Pay phones in Tanzania has generally become low . However they are common at the airports, hotels and post offices.

You might be able to use your phone abroad but when the cost of establishing connections become expensive, you will need options, get a calling app if not to use local service providers.

There is a reliable number of available internet cafes in almost every city of Tanzania, getting internet service is not expected to be that hard, however uploading and downloding speed is relatively low so in most cases you cannot expect to have a fast internet connection nevertheless in some areas there is good connection so fast internet can be possible.

Wi Fi is limited, it is mostly available in hotels, some offices and in few luxury busses. In most cases you can find paid Wi Fi in cities though the connection speed is not always reliable.
